Far-left liberal progressives have now firmly taken over the Democrat Party. They had already strangled their annoying faith-based members out of the collective, millions of bodies left hanging at the primaries. And they have already attacked the personal values you had taught your children, Columbia University's Teachers' College telling their graduates to go out among the public schools across the nation and inform students that self- achievement is offensive to others, or what radical Barack Obama likes to refer to as the Teaching of Social Justice.
Progressive leaders have become hypnotized by their new power, as if a child playing with matches, morphing from individual freedoms their party had been founded on to now fanning the flames of Marxist ghosts, ghouls made ready to feed at history's trough of human bondage and subversion.
Using the hammer of fear and threats of world destruction liberal progressives now demand more allegiance from their local henchmen, shouting out marching orders as if coming from a fanatical religion. It is why the progressive movement is not unlike the former cultist Jim Jones, but in this case the followers want you to drink cyanide-laced Kool-Aid to appease their self-appointed, dare-to-question deity.
It is why liberal progressives are so dangerous, loving fascism while hating the simplicity of a good debate. They can't stand America's foundation of self-determination, the benchmark of this successful Republic and the reason the country has been a magnet for over two-hundred years to others who have chosen to immigrate here from around the world.
But power has no friend in reason.*
Ironically, these progressives are not unlike the fundamental Muslim terrorists who also destroy in the name of a deity. But in the progressive's intellectual world, activist judges, political corruption, and hack journalism have replaced the bombs to promote their reign of terror.
Jews saw the progressive way of political correctness over seventy years ago. Many who survived the holocaust of that time will tell you they could not believe how fast it all happened once the progressive ideas were allowed to spread across the land.
The Jews reasoned, How could intellectuals do this to other human beings while loving fine art, wine, and good conversation . . . (of the right kind, of course.)
Plato warned 2,800 years ago, before Christ had even walked the earth, that when strange ideas enter into a free society through the arts and literature, they will eventually go mainstream into the government and in the end always collapse the existing democracy. Not maybe . . . not could be . . . but always!
He reasoned it would come at a time when even puppy dogs would stand on their hind legs and demand their freedoms, too. Amazingly, that is exactly what one of Obama's appointed progressives radicals has now suggested for America.
His name is Cass Sunstein, and not surprising a law school professor at the heart of the liberal progressive movement, Harvard University. It was reported that Sunstein believes "animals should be permitted to bring suit, with human beings as their representatives … Any animals that are entitled to bring suit would be represented by (human) counsel, who would owe guardian-like obligations and make decisions, subject to those obligations, on their clients' behalf."
Welcome to America in 2010. From what Plato had reasoned almost three millennia ago, it proves the more things change the more they remain the same. So stop believing the progressive movement is something new. It's as old as history, and it's time conservatives see liberal progressives for what they are . . . an enemy to everything conservatives have helped build into the foundation that holds up this great nation.
