The Day the Presses Stood Still

If you click on the link to In Memorial you'll read where Jesse Dirkhising's death was suppressed by virtually all the mainstream press. This is just the tip of the iceberg on how stories like these get censored from your eyes by the mass media, formerly your Fourth Estate.

When a news editor proclaims to be an advocate, he/she can no longer be centered . . . trusted to report the news as is, but suspect instead to color it to promote their advocacy upon the readers.

David France, Senior Editor of America's Newsweek Magazine is quoted on Advocate.com in an interview published to their Web site April 13, 2004, saying the following about Paul Shanley, the defrocked priest who is alleged to be one of the most notorious homosexual child molesters priest in America.

Paul Shanley was a hero, the first Roman Catholic priest to say anything positive about advocating adults. And not just once or twice; he made it his career. He was traveling across the country in the early ’70s, organizing conferences, speaking at the founding conference for Dignity [the organization of advocating Catholics]. He was the spirit of rebellion: a dashingly handsome priest with a sharp tongue and no patience whatsoever with anyone who would not accept his completely liberationist view of homosexuality.
