Mrs. Carson, by accident (or maybe by divine intervention), on the night of the Iowa election visits a caucus and catches a Cruz supporter telling the live voting attendees that Dr. Ben Carson had dropped out of the race. When caught Cruz later blames CNN. CNN, wouldn't be thrown under the bus and said, "That's just so much BS."
- An Evangelical, Cruz never called Dr. Carson to ask, "Are you dropping out of the race, Ben?"
- If Cruz had called Dr. Carson, he would have discovered Dr. Carson had gone back to Florida to get ready to attend the Washington D.C. National Prayer Breakfast.
